Dhadha’s Day

Today, we celebrate the goodness of all the Dads out there. Courageous men who embraced fatherhood and accepted the role to support, provide, love and build their family. Kung gaano kahirap maging isang ina, ganun din naman ang maging isang ama.

I grew up without a father. Yeah, it was kinda hard. But I thank the Lord, that I have Him up there as my Dad who treated me like a princess.

Now, let me dedicate this entry to the father of my daughter, my husband, Jeff. I seldom say this to him, especially now that both of us are busy with our work, but I am truly grateful for this man.

God must have really known me inside-out, that’s why he gave me Jeff to be my husband and to be Nyra’s dad. If I will be given another chance to choose the man I will love, I will still choose him. Yes, we may be different in so many ways, but those differences make us one.

I can never imagine myself without him, especially in times, when I worry and freak out. This man will always be there to calm me and remind me of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

The above picture is just one example of how he encourages me in times of my cray-cray moments. Hahaha! I find it amazing how he remains still and not shaken even our situation gets tough. Kaya nga I feel so guilty coz most of the time I become self righteous and say I am more spiritually mature than him. But when problems arise, he’s the one reminding me that God is still in control.

I know you will be reading this my love, so let me take this time to thank you.

Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I know having me as your wife may sometimes be hard, with all my pag-iinarte and kadramahan, but you always choose to understand.

I also want to thank you for being the best Dad to our little munchkin, Nyra. Thanks for always finding ways on how to spend quality time with her even when it means you going to Fullybooked as if you like reading books. Hahaha!

We love you dearly, Yhabby. And today, we honor you and celebrate this day with joy in our hearts. Nyra and I are so proud of you. Please do know that we will always be here for you no matter what. Happy Father’s Day, Yhabby!

  1. Were a young couple with two kids and we have friends who don’t have kids and always comment about parenting like they know anything about it! Dads do not get the same amount of praise either as I’ve found out!

  6. I must admit I envy you. My son doesn’t have a dad so we don’t get to celebrate father’s day in its essence. You are blessed to have such a husband who encourages you and supports you and appears to be a great father to your daughter. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Liz, don’t be. Because God will always be a Father to your son. And I know that He will give you His grace to be able to raise your son well. I, too, grew up without a dad. And I know how hard it is without one. But God never failed to assure me that He is more than enough. โ˜บ๏ธ
